FYI DOGFISHEAD LOVER!!!!!!!!!!
The following is a copy of a letter that Sam wrote
to retailers. I suggest printing this out and placing at retail
accounts to help explain any outages that you may have in your
market. Believe me, everyone is low all over the country. In the
short term, 60 Minute will take a hit, due to getting Festina out, and
I understand Raison is till a few weeks away. The good news is, we
will have a lot more beer by the end of July, sound please hang in
there, and don't feel that you are the only distributor affected,
because everyone is.
Cheers, John Freyer Dogfish Head UpcomingShortages:
Here is the latest email from Dogfish Head owner,
Sam Calagione:
Hello DFH family.
Let me begin by sayings thanks for propelling Dogfish Head to our best
1st two month start ever. We have lots of exciting stuff in the
pipeline: the launch of Palo Santo Marron, the new book, He said Beer,
She said Wine, the cover of the June Food & Wine Magazine and lots of
additional national media coverage for our off-centered ales. As many
of you know we are in the middle of a multi-million dollar expansion
that should allow us to see a record year of growth. We have 9 new 200
bbl tanks coming on line late May to release beer in June.
As we initiated this cellars expansion we learned that the foundation
under one section of our cellars had been washed away and a four week
project has morphed into an eight week project. The bad news is we
will be a bit tighter on beer than originally budgeted for April and
May but the good news is we will have more beer available than
originally budget from June through December. So we are asking you to
BEER with us for two months while we ramp this puppy up. Thanks for
working so hard and so well with us to make Dogfish Head one of the
fastest growing breweries in America. The best is yet to come. Sam
Calagione, President, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery
WE HAVE A TON OF Other cool
